Three Intervention Strategies
There will be three intervention strategies implemented to begin the transition process, Low end intervention, only involving the teachers training. Middle end intervention creating a more computer based learning environment with the use of more time with instruction in computer labs, and High end intervention with a full integration of IPads and IPad applications
Low end intervention.
Many times students with LD have experienced many failures in school, which includes contact with teachers who did not understand their problems. These experiences frequently lead students to feel unmotivated (Unrau & Schlackman, 2006) and unwilling to learn or practice new concepts, which leads to students dropping out of school altogether. Teacher training and intervention is a low cost low hassle method of trying to improve student performance.
Middle end intervention.

Students with LD have balanced out their reading deficits with the use of computer programs’ repeated drills, however with a lack of suitable software, and teacher professional development, there has not been large gains. Through middle end intervention, continue to use the technology already in place with an emphasis on locating suitable software that will be easier for the students to follow and teacher to implement.
High end intervention.
In an effort to move with the evolution of technology in the classroom, we have had some success in showing progress when computers were used to assist students with disabilities, however there tends to be problems due to the fast changing pace of technology, and the complexity of the programs they are implementing. Ipads may be able to offer the simplicity needed for the students as well as flexibility to handle changes.

At this point I would like to use the high-end intervention, however if the budget for a high end solution is only going to be $50,000 I will have to either work on the low end intervention, due to the size of the system I chose, or downgrade and redo my proposal for only one high school.
